Ennegram
Alvina Quatrano presents Ennegram, an ancient Sufi teaching that
describes nine different personality types and their
interrelationships. Decipher your own
Enneagram “type”. A
system of personality typing which enlightens aspects one might not
have considered, helping to understand your own motivations and the
core needs of others. Helps group cohesion and deconflict groups
and individual differences. An ancient
system originating from monasteries and developed by Gurdjiev
(Persia) and more recently Oscar Ichazo (Hawaii), Helen Palmer
(Stanford University), and Don Riso and Russ Hudson (New York)
among others. Learn what makes your
colleagues, family members tick. Realize we’re not all the same--they’re
not like me!! Two CEUs. www.holistichealingarts.info.

Mon., April 19, Chapter Meeting - Immune System
Cindy Black
returns to present on the Immune System at April's meeting. Two
CEUs. In addition to healing from disease, our immune systems are
constantly working to prevent disease. Cindy explains how massage
therapy might influence the vitality of our immune systems.
Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) is a relatively new paradigm for
linking the state of the nervous system to the state of the immune
system. From the perspective of PNI, any modalities that affect the
nervous system such as massage, will have an impact on the immune
system. She will explain the connection between the nervous system,
specifically the Limbic System, Hypothalamus,
Sympathetic-Parasympathetic N.S. and the cells of the immune
system. Once we understand this dynamic, we will explore how
massage can influence the state of thes nervous tissues to support
the immune cells. For more information see Cindy's website: www.LongLifeHappyLife.com.
