meeting will take place in Punta Gorda at the YMCA at Ediscon
College campus, 26300 Airport Road, Punta Gorda.
Directions:
Take I-75 Exit 161 (Jones Loop Road), go east half a mile to Piper
Road. Turn left on Piper Road. Go 1.2 miles to Golf Course Blvd.
Turn left on Golf Course. Go .3 miles to Airport.. Left on
Airport. Go 1 mile to Edison College on the right. Speaker will be
either Randy Clark or Tracey Allen Jones from Neurosomatic
Educators. See their Website for more information about this unique
modality: www.neurosomaticeducators.com.
Two CEUs will be offered at the end of the evening. Based on
Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy (INT) and
the work of Paul St.
John, INT is a structurally integrative approach to pain relief.
The method finds improper structural and biomechanical patterns in
the patient's body, analyzes and charts the dysfunctional postural
patterns. A program is then designed to guide the client through
the five stages of rehabilitation: Eliminate muscle spasm, restore
flexibility, restore proper biomechanics, increase muscle strength,
and increase muscular endurance. The purpose is to not
only eliminate pain, but educate the patient on ways to prevent
recurrence of the injury. Restoring proper structure and
biomechanics can positively affect a variety of physiological
conditions. For example, a slouching posture can decrease
digestive function, or a trigger point into the ear can affect
hearing or balance. When proper structure is restored to the body,
the accompanying physiological problems are often alleviated.
Remember: this meeting is at the YMCA, Edison College, Punta Gorda.

therapist and a member of our chapter. She has agreed to liven up
the party this year. The party is free to current members, $40 for
guests. Send two checks - a refundable one for you, the member (we
give it back to you on party night to guarantee your arrival) and
another check for your guest. Send checks, payable to FSMTA, to
Nancy Wilson, 616 Sanctuary Road, Naples, FL 34120-4837.
The Edison Tower is the same room where we hold our chapter
